Associate Professor of Counseling, Texas A&M University-San Antonio

amara Hinojosa is an Associate Professor of Counseling in the Department of Counseling, Health, and Kinesiology at Texas A&M University-San Antonio. She earned her B.S. in Applied Learning and Development from the University of Texas at Austin. She earned her M.Ed. in College Student Affairs and Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision at Penn State University. Dr. Hinojosa is a licensed professional counselor and has extensive experience in community mental health with a focus on women’s issues, career counseling, and adolescent counseling. Dr. Hinojosa has also worked in various higher education settings, serving primarily underrepresented students. She has published and presented in the areas of identity development of women and other marginalized groups.
